King Carl XIV Johan’s medal for outstanding civil service 1867-1907. The production of these medals were moved to the Imperial Mint in Paris when the dies at the Kongsberg mint broke. Only 5 gold medals and 300 silver medals were produced. 288 Norwegians were awarded silver medals. Therefore this medal is very scarce today. Reference: Hallberg (2012) II 4.
